Learning Together: Bridging the Generation Gap is supported by Employment and Social Development Canada.

Overview

The Canadian Institute for Seniors Care is excited to host a community event at the 2021 Canadian Association on Gerontology Conference as part of the New Horizons project, entitled “Learning Together: Bridging the Generation Gap”. The project builds meaningful relationships between seniors, students, and the faculty teaching them to create an environment that facilitates intergenerational learning and the sharing of experiences.

This event will provide a brief overview of the New Horizons project and include condensed versions of its activities, as well as explore participants’ experiences and takeaways. Seniors will share their stories of Aging with Pride and Care Transitions, giving attendees insight into others’ realities and perspectives, and consideration for care, education, and research.

Everyone is welcome to attend, but pre-registration is required.
